Big Eyes by Tim Barton is a biographical dramat about an artist Margaret whose husband pretends to be an artist and steals her paintings. The story takes place in 1950s when female painters weren't as respected as male ones. It is based on a true story.

At he beginning of the film Margaret together with her daughter moves to San Francisco after spliting up with her husband. She meets Walter who pretends to be an artist. She falls in love with him and wants to be his wife. She is afraid that she want be able to support herself and her daughter. He organises an exhibition of his and her paintings. The story reaches a dramatic climax when Margaret escapes together with her daughter from a brutal husband who wants to burn them.

Big eyes has outstanding cast including Amy Adams and Christopher Walts. The plot is gripping and it keeps you in suspence until the last minute. The script is defenitely not a mundane one. It deals with morality of a human being and the idea that truth can make you free. Also the character of Margaret is a very interesting figure. Reserved, mysterious and withdrawned woman who undervalues herself.

Don't miss that chance to watch that amazing masterpiece. this is the film which should be on your list of top movies. I defenitely recommend Big Eyes because it is an unusual creation which will move you to tears.
